  • In October 2009, the Bacchus Management Group had the winning bid for the lease of Aqua and "took over" the restaurant.
  • In early 2010 Bacchus decided to relinquish their control of Aqua.
  • In March 2010 Michael Mina signed a lease to take over the space. The "assets" (furniture, kitchen equipment, name, Web site and the liquor license) were awarded to to the Whisk Group (Mark Weiss).
  • Closed mid-April 2010 and reopened as Michael Mina (II) in October.
