  • The Rainbow Grill restaurant was to close January 12, 2009, however received a temporary extension until at least January 27, 2009.
  • The Ciprianis agreed to give up possession of the banquet hall and restaurant on Aug. 1, 2009.
  • In 2012, it was declared a New York City landmark by the New York Landmarks Preservation Commission.
  • Reopened October 5, 2014 after significant renovations.
