McCrady's Restaurant is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and Landmarks. The original structure was erected by Edward McCrady in 1788 and served as a collective retreat for notable Charlestonians after the Revolutionary War. The building was purchased in 1982 by new owners to restore the property to its original grandeur.
