Opened as a hotel in 1906 by John Jacob Astor IV. Converted to an office building in 1920 and renamed The Knickerbocker Building. In 1980 it took the name 1466 Broadway and later was known as 6 Times Square. Re-opened as a hotel February 2015. (See Wikipedia).
