Rosfjord Strandhotel started its first history in 1934, then as a campground for tents. It was then managed by Isabella Ubostad who handed the company to her son Abraham Ubostad in 1949, which further led the campingsite until 1972. He and his wife Agnes then built cabins and extended camp with multiple locations. Current hosts Arvid and Hilda Gerd Ubostad took over then, and have further developed the site to be a major comapny in south of Norway within tourism and meeting / conference. And now it is handed over to their sons Gaute and Stig Ubostad. The hotel with all facilities was built in 1986 and since then it has evolved both in size and shape, to the complete resort for courses / conferences and holiday / leisure it is today.
