The retractable-roofed stadium opened in 2000 as the home field of the Major League Baseball team Houston Astros. From 1999 to 2002 it was known as Enron Field. In early 2002 it took the name Astros Field and in June 2002 Minute Maid acquired the naming rights for 28 years.
