The floating restaurant broke loose from some of its moorings on March 12, 2011, and closed as a restaurant. After 2 years of negotiations it has been agreed to move the restaurant upstream to the foot of Madison Avenue and it was hoped to reopen in 2014.
On February 6, 2014 the restaurant again broke loose from its moorings.
On August 5, 2014, the Waterfront sank into the Ohio River marking the end of the "floating restaurant".
