General Manager
Hospitality veteran Patrick Loomis possesses a big picture understanding of operations and restaurant finesse born of more than 20 years in the hospitality industry. Now serving as General Manager at Serpas True Food in Atlanta’s Old Fourth Ward, the Napa, Ca. native combines 10 years of culinary and kitchen experience with a 15-year front-of-the-house tenure and a detailed knowledge of wine service.
Before recently returning for a second stint in Atlanta, Loomis was the General Manager for La Toque Restaurant at the Westin Verasa Hotel in Napa, overseeing the Bank Bar and Café, In-Room Dining and Private Dining, in addition to leading the Michelin Starred restaurant. During his time there, La Toque earned a Zagat rating of 28 as well as three stars from the San Francisco Chronicle. His time in Napa also included serving as the restaurant manager at étolie Restaurant at Domaine Chandon Winery, where he achieved Certificate Level from the Court of Master Sommeliers and conducted weekly wine education classes for the staff.
Loomis began his culinary career as a fry cook at age 14, and the local fine dining establishments in Napa Valley such as Piatti Ristorante, The Restaurant at Domaine Chandon, and The Saint George served as his gastronomic launching pads. He learned under Master Chef Masataka Kobayashi as Sous Chef for Auberge du Soileil at the Relais-Chateau Hotel and fine-tuned his wine palate at the boutique wholesaler Bock Vines and Wines in San Francisco. He extended his expertise as a Wine Specialist with Wine Warehouse, presenting an expansive line of domestic and imported wines, spirits and beers to the top restaurants and hotels in the Napa and Sonoma Valleys.
Patrick Loomis returned to Atlanta this fall and currently lives near Decatur with his wife, Carole, and daughter, Alex. A lifelong food lover, he enjoys cooking, sampling wines and travelling when not helming Serpas True Food.
