- The original structure was built in 1853 as a private dwelling. It was transformed into a wine shop in 1871 and eventually became Café Denat. In 1935 ownership changed and the business took the name Café Florentino. Over the years there were modifications and a few owners. In 1999 Guy Grossi acquired the property and it became Grossi Florentino. (See an excellent History)
