- In August 2010 BLT Restaurant Group filed a lawsuit against the owners of LT Burger (Chef Laurent Tourondel, developed BLT Steak and BLT Burger restaurants) alleging they copied the details of BLT. In November 2012 the parties reached an agreement and the suit was dismissed. (See Bloomberg.)
The three-year-old litigation between chef Laurent Tourondel and his former business partner, Jimmy Haber ended with a licensing agreement that gives each of them access to the BLT restaurant brand they developed together. (See Crain's)
